Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building and shipping software products with hands-on depth.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-enabled products or AI-assisted development.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
• Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven and high-availability architectures.
• Strong in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Scala, or Rust.
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases, API design across REST and GraphQL, and system integrations.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native patterns.
• Good grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, testing and production reliability.
• Track record of turning ambiguous requirements into clear technical direction and rallying teams.
• Sharp communicator who explains trade-offs to engineers, product and business teams alike.

What You'll Do

Make and defend key architectural decisions while weighing performance, security, reliability, maintainability and cost.

Stay hands-on by contributing to critical design and coding decisions rather than just diagrams.

Catch architectural risks and bottlenecks early and drive the fixes before they become blockers.

Lead engineers through hard technical problems and keep architecture consistent across teams.

Run architecture, design and code reviews and raise the engineering bar through best practices and mentoring.

Evaluate AI, automation and emerging tech for real product use, focusing on signal rather than hype.

What We're Looking For

6+ years of experience in building and shipping software products, with strong hands-on engineering depth.

Hands-on experience building AI/LLM-enabled products or working with AI-assisted development.
