Job summary

KeyValue Software Systems is seeking a Product Architect to own the technical direction of our products end to end. You will set the technical bar, make hard architectural calls, and guide engineers across product, engineering and business teams toward scalable solutions.

You'll translate requirements into clear designs, drive architecture reviews, and balance performance, security, reliability and cost while staying hands-on and mentoring others. AI & cloud-native focus included.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building and shipping software products.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-enabled products.
• Expert in software architecture, system design, patterns, and data structures.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven, high-availability architectures.
• Proficient in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Scala, or Rust.
• Relational and NoSQL databases, API design (REST/GraphQL), system integrations.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and production reliability.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Product Architect to own the technical direction of our products end to end from the first architecture decision to systems running reliably at scale. You'll set the technical bar, make the hard calls on architecture and technology and lead engineers through complex problems. Just as important: you'll be the person who spots the problem early and brings the solution, working shoulder to shoulder with product, engineering and business teams.

What You'll Do

Own product architecture from concept and technology choices all the way through to systems running in production at scale.

Translate product and business requirements into clear technical designs covering system architecture, APIs, data models, integrations and infrastructure.

Make and defend key architectural decisions while weighing performance, security, reliability, maintainability and cost.

Stay hands-on by contributing to critical design and coding decisions rather than just diagrams.

Catch architectural risks and bottlenecks early and drive the fixes before they become blockers.

Lead engineers through hard technical problems and keep architecture consistent across teams.

Run architecture, design and code reviews and raise the engineering bar through best practices and mentoring.

Evaluate AI, automation and emerging tech for real product use, focusing on signal rather than hype.

What We're Looking For

6+ years of experience in building and shipping software products, with strong hands-on engineering depth.

Hands-on experience building AI/LLM-enabled products or working with AI-assisted development.

Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, design patterns and data structures and algorithms.

Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven and high-availability architectures.

Strong in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Scala, or Rust.

Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases, API design across REST and GraphQL and system integrations.

Hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native patterns.

Good grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, testing and production reliability.

A track record of turning ambiguous requirements into clear technical direction and getting a team to rally behind it.

A sharp communicator who can explain trade-offs to engineers, product and business teams alike.
