Job summary

HDFC Bank is seeking a Sr Scrum Master – Tech & Digital to oversee scrum processes, coach teams, and drive transparency in an Agile environment. The role reports to the Project Lead/Delivery Lead and involves working across multiple locations in India to deliver financial technology projects.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in Agile development, strong facilitation skills, and a background in financial services. This is an individual contributor role with moderate travel.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of agile techniques (e.g., User Stories, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Experience in the financial services domain would be a plus.
• A relevant business degree and scrum certification would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings with full team engagement.
• Support Product Manager and team in release planning.
• Leverage sprint retrospectives for continuous team performance improvement.
• Remove impediments such as cultural barriers, logistic challenges, and coordination issues.
• Guide the team and organization on using scrum and other Agile practices.
• Foster close cooperation, cross-training, and open communication within the scrum team (e.g., using tracker boards, JIRA).
• Facilitate discussions for collective decision-making, goal setting, and conflict resolution.
• Continuously improve team performance by promoting joint accountability and solving productivity issues.

Job Purpose
