1203 Barclays Global Serv. Cent is seeking a Scrum Master based in Pune, responsible for facilitating Agile teams and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles. You will act as a servant leader and facilitate Scrum events, fostering continuous improvement while removing impediments.

The ideal candidate should hold certifications like CSM or PSM and have technical awareness of API and CI/CD practices, alongside strong communication skills and experience with Agile frameworks.

Purpose of the role: Facilitate and support Agile teams by ensuring they follow Scrum principles. Remove obstacles, enhance team collaboration, and ensure smooth communication, enabling the team to focus on delivering high-quality, iterative results. Facilitate Scrum events, promote continuous improvement, and act as a bridge between the team and external stakeholders.

Accountabilities

1. Facilitate events, as needed, and ensure that all events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
2. Support iteration execution: ensure quality of ceremony artefacts and continuous customer value through iteration execution, maintain backlog refinement, and iterate on stakeholder feedback.
3. Optimize flow: identify and facilitate the removal of conflict impacting team flow, utilizing metrics to empower the team to communicate effectively, making all work visible.
4. Mitigate risks: identify and elevate risks to remove impediments and shield the squad from interruptions.
5. Build high‑performing teams: foster and coach Agile team attributes and continuous improvement, encourage stakeholder collaboration, deputise ‘in the moment leadership’, and drive high‑performing team attributes.
6. Stakeholder management: facilitate stakeholder collaboration (e.g., business stakeholders, product teams, vendors) and build trust with stakeholders.
7. Governance and reporting: ensure data quality and provide representation at required governance forums, if applicable.

Scrum Master Role

Join Barclays as a Scrum Master. You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You will act as a servant leader and facilitator, ensuring Agile principles are embedded across technical and functional workflows. This role requires strong technical awareness of API/Spring boot Java deliveries & the release process. The Scrum Master will enable team efficiency, remove impediments, and foster continuous improvement along with managing tech delivery of the feature team.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Technical awareness of authentication systems, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Awareness of data and writing SQL/JQL queries.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Act as Technical Delivery Managers for release readiness, ensuring sprint deliverables align with deployment timelines.
• Support integration testing and quality assurance by coordinating with SDETs and developers.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) ensuring they are productive and time‑boxed.
• Maintain backlog health in collaboration with Product Owner and Tech Leads.
• Represent the team in governance forums, providing updates on risks, dependencies, and progress.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in Spring boot or Android or iOS focused Agile teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and release management coordination.
