Job summary

PI Industries Ltd in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is seeking a dynamic CAPEX procurement professional to lead end-to-end sourcing for our R&D programs. You will manage lab and pilot plant equipment, engineering items, utilities, and project purchases, ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and timely delivery.

You will coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors, prepare RFQs, PO processing, import documentation where needed, and develop supplier relationships to drive reliable procurement and MIS

Qualifications

• B.Sc. (Chemistry) or science/engineering degree.
• MBA in Operations or SCM preferred.
• 3–5 years in procurement within Agrochemical, Pharma, Life Sciences, or R&D.
• Hands-on CAPEX, project procurement, or equipment sourcing experience.
• Experience with SAP/Ariba or similar platforms.
• Strong vendor management and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement for R&D projects and infrastructure expansion.
• Source and procure laboratory equipment, pilot plant equipment, instruments, engineering items, utilities, and related services.
• Float RFQs, evaluate techno-commercial offers, and support vendor negotiations.
• Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approvals.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, finance, and project teams for timely execution.
• Track delivery schedules, installation timelines, and project procurement milestones.
• Handle import procurement documentation and logistics coordination, where required.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, documentation, and audit requirements.
• Prepare procurement MIS, spend analysis, and project procurement dashboards.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic procurement professional to manage CAPEX procurement activities for our R&D organization. The role involves end-to-end procurement of laboratory equipment, pilot plant equipment, engineering goods, utilities, instruments, and project-related purchases while ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Desired Profile

• B.Sc. (Preferably Chemistry) / Graduate in Science or Engineering.
• MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management or relevant certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of procurement experience in Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Specialty Chemical, or R&D organizations.
• Hands-on experience in CAPEX procurement, project procurement, engineering procurement, or equipment sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management, negotiations, commercial terms, and procurement processes.
• Experience working on SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement platforms.
