Job summary

PI Industries in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is seeking a dynamic CAPEX procurement professional for its R&D organization. You will lead end-to-end procurement of laboratory and pilot plant equipment, engineering goods, utilities, and related services, ensuring timely delivery and cost optimization.

The role requires 3–5 years of CAPEX and project procurement experience in Agrochemical or Pharma settings, strong vendor management, and hands-on use of SAP or Ariba.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. (Preferably Chemistry) with relevant experience in CAPEX procurement.
• MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management or related certification is preferred.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or R&D settings.
• Hands-on CAPEX and project procurement experience for lab and pilot plant equipment.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba or similar platforms.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement for R&D projects and infrastructure expansion.
• Source and procure laboratory and pilot plant equipment, instruments, and utilities.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate offers, and support vendor negotiations.
• Create POs and ensure timely approvals.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, finance, and project teams.
• Track delivery schedules, installations, and procurement milestones.
• Handle import procurement documentation and logistics coordination.
• Develop vendor relationships and identify alternate sourcing.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.
• Prepare procurement MIS, spend analysis, and dashboards.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic procurement professional to manage CAPEX procurement activities for our R&D organization. The role involves end-to-end procurement of laboratory equipment, pilot plant equipment, engineering goods, utilities, instruments, and project-related purchases while ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement for R&D projects and infrastructure expansion.
• Source and procure laboratory equipment, pilot plant equipment, instruments, engineering items, utilities, and related services.
• Float RFQs, evaluate techno-commercial offers, and support vendor negotiations.
• Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approvals.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, finance, and project teams for timely execution.
• Track delivery schedules, installation timelines, and project procurement milestones.
• Handle import procurement documentation and logistics coordination, where required.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, documentation, and audit requirements.
• Prepare procurement MIS, spend analysis, and project procurement dashboards.

Desired Profile

• M.Sc. (Preferably Chemistry) .
• MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management or relevant certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of procurement experience in Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Specialty Chemical, or R&D organizations.
• Hands-on experience in CAPEX procurement, project procurement, engineering procurement, or equipment sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management, negotiations, commercial terms, and procurement processes.
• Experience working on SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement platforms.
