Job summary

Alfa Laval India is seeking a Team Manager Engineering for its Satara factory. The role develops and coordinates the unit, ensures mid-term goals and customer expectations are met, and works with interfaces to coordinate.

You will lead engineers and draftsmen, oversee design of heat exchangers, participate in estimation, and ensure ASME/PED documentation. A strong background in mechanical engineering and 10–12 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial role focused on design and estimation of equipment such as heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, columns, or reactors.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, PD550, EN13445, EN, API).
• Proficient in engineering software such as PV-Elite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with ASME/ASTM materials and material selection.
• Experience with nozzle loading analysis as per WRC-107 and WRC-297.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

• Coordinate effectively with internal and external customers and consultants.
• Provide technical support to the Bid Engineering and Sales teams.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects.
• Collaborate with Third Party Inspection (TPI) agencies.
• Identify team training needs and recommend appropriate development programs.
