Job summary

Hindustan Marketing Company is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to manage the depot's stock, ensure accurate placement, and maintain updated records.

You will lead a small team, enforce 5S practices, implement SOPs and CAPA, and provide regular MIS reports to track inventory status.

This role focuses on efficiency and accuracy to support the commercial team and daily operations at Amingaon/Jorhat Depots.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in inventory management.
• Knowledge of 5S and good housekeeping practices.
• Familiar with SOPs and CAPA processes.
• Experience in MIS reporting and data updating.
• Ability to train and supervise a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervises inventory management at the assigned depot (Amingaon/ Jorhat Depot).
• Verifies incoming materials and supervises placement in racks.
• Updates system with material positions and any variances.
• Supervises picking of materials as per dispatch slips.
• Allocates duties, prepares rosters, and trains staff.
• Enforces PPE usage and 5S housekeeping in the area.
• Participates in SOPs and CAPA initiatives.
• Submits MIS reports to reflect inventory status.
• Adapts to changing business requirements and objectives.

Job description

To manage inventory of Hindustan Marketing Company at the assigned depot (Amingaon/ Jorhat Depot).

Job Responsibilities

• Supervises inventory management at the assigned depot (Amingaon/ Jorhat Depot):
  • Verifies incoming materials from system and supervises placement in racks.
  • Updates system with position materials in racks.
  • Supervises replacement or scrapping of parts of damaged materials and assembly of the replaced parts, as applicable and updates system.
  • Supervises picking of materials from racks as per dispatch slips generated by the commercial team.
  • Updates system as per variance during the material picking process.
• Manages team under jurisdiction:
  • Allocates duties and monitors performance on the job.
  • Prepares rosters and proposes leave.
  • Trains on the job to improve efficiencies.
  • Enforces PPE usage by team under jurisdiction.
• Undertakes 5S and good housekeeping practices in area under jurisdiction.
• Participates in improvement projects involving cross functional collaboration:
  • Implements Standard Operating Processes (SOPs).
  • Implements Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Submits MIS at periodic intervals to report inventory status.
• Keeps self updated through continuous learning and critical exposure to contribute to current and future business imperatives.
• Performs all such duties required for this role as per the changing business requirements and strategic objectives of the Organisation.
