Job summary

Sartorius in Bangalore seeks a Team Lead Scientific Production - Advanced Cell Models to coordinate daily production execution, ensure GMP/EHS compliance and quality standards, and support a high-performing production team in a regulated environment.

You will train, onboard and mentor team members, prioritize tasks, resolve bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enable reliable production delivery and operational excellence across the cell model platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline as listed.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in scientific production, bioprocessing, cell culture, or regulated lab/manufacturing.
• Experience in GMP, EHS and quality-controlled environments.
• Experience leading or coordinating a small team is preferred.
• Strong GMP/quality systems and EHS compliance knowledge.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize daily production activities.
• Experience training and supervising production personnel.
• Strong problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
• Fluent in English.

Based in Bangalore, India, you will lead daily production execution, ensure compliance with GMP, EHS and quality requirements, and support the development of a high-performing production team. Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities and allocate tasks based on approved production plans to support efficient production execution
• Prioritize and sequence work to ensure the timely achievement of production objectives
• Monitor production progress and maintain workflow continuity across the production area
• Supervise production personnel to ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP requirements, EHS guidelines and quality standards
• Provide guidance and support to team members during routine production activities and ensure adherence to established processes and documentation requirements
• Train, onboard and qualify new team members by demonstrating production procedures and verifying readiness for independent task execution while reinforcing best practices and standardized work methods
• Identify and address day-to-day production challenges and operational bottlenecks, coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve routine production issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, consistency and quality

What will convince us

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in scientific production, bioprocessing, cell culture, or a regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment
• Experience working within GMP, EHS and quality-controlled environments
• Previous experience leading or coordinating a small team is preferred
• Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems and EHS compliance
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize daily production activities
