Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Team Leader - Embedded Systems to guide our Embedded Team. The role requires guiding multiple engineers across projects, with a strong background in embedded software design, development, and testing.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of embedded experience, and a proven track record in engineering/industrial product companies. Hybrid work arrangements and cross-functional collaboration are core to this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computers, or related Engg. discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development and delivery.
  • Hands-on with embedded C/C++, RTOS, device drivers, microcontrollers/microprocessors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of embedded engineers to deliver high-quality embedded software and systems.
  • Drive end-to-end project execution including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Ensure alignment of team deliverables with timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, testing, and systems engineering teams.
  • Act as technical leader, review designs and code, provide hands-on support.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader - Embedded Systemsto lead our Embedded Team. The ideal candidate bringsover 10 years of experience, with a strong foundation in embedded software design, development, and testing, combined with proven experience inleading multiple engineers across diverse projects. This role is suited for professionals with a solid track record inengineering companies, delivering embedded solutions for electromechanical and industrial products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of embedded engineers to deliver high-quality embedded software and systems.
  • Drive end-to-end project execution including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Ensure alignment of team deliverables with organizational goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, product, testing, and systems engineering).
  • Act as a technical leader, reviewing designs and code, providing hands-on support where required.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement within the team.
  • Manage resource allocation, project planning, and risk identification/mitigation.
  • Interface with stakeholders, provide regular updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
To succeed, you will need

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree inElectronics, Computers, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experiencein embedded systems development and delivery.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in:
    • Embedded C/C++, RTOS, device drivers, microcontrollers, microprocessors.
    • Communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, etc.).
    • Hardware-software integration.
    • Tools such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Proven track record ofleading multiple engineers/teamsacross several successful projects.
  • Prior experience inengineering/industrial product companies(preferably electromechanical or automation domain).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Familiarity withIoT platforms, cloud connectivity, and edge computing.
