Job summary

Chabez Tech is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to join our Pune, India team. The role requires 8–12 years of relevant experience in embedded software and a strong background in Linux-based platforms and C++ development.

You will own architecture, design, and implementation across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, testable solutions for embedded systems.

Qualifications

• BTech/MTech in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Digital Design and Embedded Systems or equivalent with 8-12 years of Relevant Experience.
• Strong embedded software development experience on Linux-based platforms.
• Strong C++ development experience for embedded backend services, application logic, middleware, and hardware-facing interfaces.
• Experience across the full software lifecycle, including requirements definition, software architecture, design, implementation, reviews, testing, integration, and product release.
• Ability to define clear, traceable, and testable requirements and translate them into designs.
• Good understanding of testing practices, including unit testing, debugging, static analysis, integration checks, and defect investigation.
• Experience collaborating with test engineering teams to support testability, defect triage, verification readiness, and release readiness.
• Experience using software development tools including GitHub, issue tracking systems, code reviews, and CI workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• BTech/MTech in Electrical, Electronics& Telecommunication, Digital Design and Embedded Systems or equivalent with 8-12 years of Relevant Experience
• Strong embedded software development experience on Linux-based platforms.
• Strong C++ development experience for embedded backend services, application logic, middleware, and hardware-facing interfaces.
• Experience across the full software lifecycle, including requirements definition, software architecture, design, implementation, reviews, testing, integration, and product release.

• Experience with the Yocto toolchain, Yocto-based Linux image builds, BSP integration, SDK generation, or embedded Linux platform maintenance.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, release branching, versioning, and software release packaging.
• Experience with cybersecurity and software safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with static and dynamic analysis tools such as SonarQube, MISRA C, or similar.
• Understanding of embedded hardware interfaces, communication protocols, device drivers, and hardware/software integration constraints.
• Experience working in Agile teams, including sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and iterative delivery.
• Experience with MISRA C.Experience developing C# applications using WPF or WinUI.
• Experience with Python, test automation tools, or hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
