Matrix seeks a Tech Lead - Embedded Software (Application) to guide the embedded software team across the full lifecycle, from ideation to production. You will coordinate with product managers, engineers, and QA to deliver high-performance telecom and security solutions.

You will apply expertise in Embedded Linux, RTOS, and networking to design scalable architectures, mentor engineers, and ensure robust, timely delivery with a focus on software quality and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher engineering degree in electronics or computer science.
• 5+ years in embedded software and Linux-based development.

Role : Technical Lead- Embedded (IPVS)

Function : Embedded Software Development (IPVS)

Who are you

You are a passionate and technically strong Embedded Software professional with expertise in Embedded Linux, Real-Time Systems, C/C++, OOPS, Data Structures, Multi-threading, IPC/Message Queues, Networking, and Software Security.

You have the ability to design software architecture, lead technical development, review code, mentor team members, and drive end-to-end delivery of robust and scalable embedded solutions. Exposure to cloud-connected/IoT or SaaS applications will be an added advantage.

Experience : 5+ Years

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills Required :

• Strong hands-on experience in C /Embedded C and good knowledge of C++ / C++11.
• Strong expertise in Embedded Linux, including system-level development, debugging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in Socket programming and a solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of IPC, multithreading, synchronization mechanisms, and memory management.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience in video and audio media technologies.
• Experience with end-to-end effort estimation, technical planning, and task breakdown, ensuring predictable and timely delivery.
• Proven experience in leading and participating in design and code reviews, with a strong focus on engineering standards, scalability, maintainability, and best practices.
• Experience ensuring that technical solutions are aligned with product requirements, architectural guidelines, and business objectives.
• Proven ability to identify technical risks, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and architectural challenges, and drive effective mitigation strategies.
• Strong collaboration experience with Product Management, QA, Architects, and other cross-functional teams to ensure technical and business alignment.

You take complete ownership of timely product delivery with impeccable software quality. You are a motivated problem solver who can accurately document and communicate issues; can present the problem and solution in a short and crisp manner without taking into circles.

How your day might look like

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate a solution.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to produce software designs.
• Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes.
• Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language.
• Integrate individual software solutions to higher level systems.
• Validate important design decisions that lead to technical debt or increase in project cost or delays in project deliveries.
• Increase the Velocity of development through operational excellence. It is expected to complete the given task on time
