Job summary

Auma in Bengaluru seeks an experienced hardware designer to develop analog, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits for AC/DC applications. You will own concepts from schematic design through validation and release, collaborating with PCB engineers.

You will analyze legacy designs for BOM cost reductions, optimize for manufacturability and reliability, and lead component selection and qualification for new designs and redesigns.

Qualifications

• Design and development of analog, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits.
• Technical ownership from concept, schematic design and component selection through validation and release.
• Analysis of existing/legacy hardware designs to identify BOM cost reduction and design-to-cost opportunities.
• Strong involvement in component selection and qualification for new designs and redesigns.
• Design of power supplies (AC/DC, DC/DC) and analog signal conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Second-source and multisource analysis, including component alternatives and qualification.
• Close collaboration with PCB layout engineers to ensure layout and manufacturing compliance.
• Support and active participation in technical and design reviews.
• Creation of highquality technical documentation.

• Strong involvement in component selection and qualification for new designs and redesigns

• Microcontrollerbased hardware design, preferably ARM 32bit MCUs (NXP, STMicroelectronics)
• Consideration of signal integrity, power integrity, thermal design, and EMI/EMC
• Close collaboration with PCB layout engineers to ensure layout and manufacturing compliance
• Support and active participation in technical and design reviews
