Job summary

Miko is seeking a Lead Electronics System Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in electronics system design, analogue and digital hardware, and mixed-signal board bring-up for multi-project programs. Job Title: Lead Electronics System Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Electronics Engineer in the Electronics Department. In this role, candidates are expected to have hands‑on experience in electronics system design and development of digital and analogue electronics; analogue and mixed‑domain circuit solutions. As a core member of the electronics system design team you will drive microprocessors/ microcontrollers, SoC‑based data and signal‑processing unit design, high‑speed design and peripheral interface control, power electronics for product power supply, power distribution and battery charging management, embedded systems bring‑up, integration and compliance‑requirement qualification.

Core Responsibilities

1. Design and develop new electronics hardware platform for multiple projects.
2. Partner with the embedded software team for hardware/ firmware co‑design and development; optimisation.
3. Ability to make sense of complex functional requirements and build‑up appropriate electronics hardware‑based solutions.
4. Create a reliable and modular design and qualify the integrated design with respect to the functional and environmental performance requirements.
5. Create and manage manufacturable design in coordination with cross‑functional team and sourcing team.

Requirements & Skills

Must to have

1. 8-10 years of experience in low‑power circuit design, system bring‑up, engineering‑build integration and debugging performance issues in the integrated product.
2. 6-8 years of experience driving design development from requirement synthesis, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, assembly and integration with other modules of the product.
3. 5+ years of experience in development of multi‑layer, mixed‑signal board‑level design in Altium / Eagle.
4. Experience in embedded Linux‑based SoCs design along with microcontrollers.
5. Experience with power supply topologies: DC‑DC, flyback converters, LDOs, etc.
6. Experience with battery charger design, signal conditioning, sensor interface; protection circuits and actuator drive.
7. Hands‑on experience implementing embedded system data communication protocols such as 1‑wire, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, TCP/IP, wireless, BLE.
8. Experience with BDC/ BLDC or stepper motors, motor driver circuit design and working principles.
9. Diverse experience in microcontroller/microprocessor‑based circuit design and bring‑up. Ideally with Qualcomm/SoC, TI, NXP, Renesas and sensor interface on PCBA level.
10. Ability to interface sensors such as current‑voltage, time‑of‑flight, proximity, position, ALS, etc. on a PCBA level.
11. Knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD performance standards and practices is preferred.
12. Experience in handling a hardware team and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to run projects according to the project plan to ensure timely delivery.
13. Ability to work with ODMs, OEMs and coordinate with various vendors for new product developments and R&D.
14. Hands‑on experience in people management and resource management.

Good to have

1. Strong communication and documentation skills and ability to operate independently and lead a team of design and test engineers.
2. Experience with portable battery‑operated designs and power budgeting.
3. Knowledge about Wi‑Fi / Bluetooth / RF / antenna technologies.
4. Experience with embedded system RTOS.
5. Experience with ESP32 and ESP‑IDF, Raspberry‑Pi or similar MCU.
6. Experience with microphone and speaker audio drive circuit design is a plus.
7. Familiar with PCB fabrication technologies, rigid‑flex PCBs, flex cables.
8. Hands‑on experience of manufacturing processes including DFM and DFT for consumer products at scale.
9. Familiar with sensor interface, MIPI camera CSI and DSI, display modules and their communication protocols; power supply design and distribution for low‑power applications; motor drive control design; PWM, DMA control and audio signal processing interface.
