Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Talent Pool Quantity Surveyor MEP (Post-Contract) to support commercial and cost management across diverse Indian projects, including hospital developments in Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

Responsibilities include take-offs, Bills of Quantities, cost plans, tender support, interim valuations, cashflow forecasting, and final accounts, with emphasis on accuracy, timely reporting, and cost control in collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or estimation for MEP works on building projects (residential, commercial, hotels, hospitals, etc).
• Proficient in CAD, Cost-X and other quantification/estimation software.
• Excellent MS Excel and Word skills; ability to learn customized software and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC works using applicable standards.
• Use Cost-X, AutoCAD to prepare quantities and transfer data into BOQs or cost plans with bulk checks.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities and support cost estimation activities.
• Lead hospital construction/renovation projects involving MEP and biomedical systems.
• Manage vendor selection, contracts, and service agreements.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards; liaise between contractors, consultants, and hospital management.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes; contribute to cashflow forecasting, variations, and final accounts.

Talent Pool- Quantity Surveyor MEP (Post-Contract)- Supports the commercial and cost management of MEP works across a range of building projects including residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, fit-out, and industrial developments in India- Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai. Responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and cost plans, supporting tendering and cost estimation activities, and assisting with cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Contributes to interim valuations, variation assessments, cashflow forecasting, and final accounts, while working closely with project teams to ensure accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with applicable standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC works using applicable standards.
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labor rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
• Lead hospital construction/renovation projects involving MEP & biomedical systems.
• Manage vendor selection, contracts, and service agreements.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Act as liaison between contractors, consultants, and hospital management.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes. Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts
• Having basic knowledge of key building components and construction methods in construction related to MEP works

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’ Technology in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing.
• 3 - 6 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or estimation for MEP works on building projects such as Residential, Commercial, Hotels, Hospitals, Fit-out, and Industrial/Warehouse developments (depending on project requirements).
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Excellent skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent Interpersonal and presentation Skills.
