Job Summary
An experienced Tableau Developer/Leads to design, develop, and maintain Qlik Sense analytics solutions that enable scalable, high-performance business intelligence across the organization. The role involves architecting Qlik Sense environments, creating robust data models, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring the overall security, reliability, and optimization of Qlik platforms. The architect collaborates closely with business stakeholders to translate analytics requirements into technical BI solutions, while also guiding development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, and maintaining documentation and governance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and story points based on user requirements.
- Create visually compelling, intuitive, and actionable visualizations that help stakeholders interpret complex data.
- Connect Tableau to various data sources and ensure clean, accurate, and well-structured data for analysis.
- Perform data modeling, create calculated fields, dimensions, measures, joins, blends, and filters.
- Integrate data from multiple databases and systems ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Conduct data analysis, mapping, validation, and documentation to support BI needs.
- Optimize Tableau dashboards for speed, efficiency, and scalability— including extract tuning, query improvements, and reducing load times.
- Monitor and fine-tune performance to ensure seamless user experiences with large or complex datasets.
- Apply visualization best practices, data storytelling techniques, and BI design standards across Tableau solutions.
- Stay updated on Tableau features and industry trends to enhance dashboard functionality and user experience.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports, and story points, applying visualization best practices.
- Ability to create intuitive, interactive, and user-friendly visualizations for diverse business stakeholders.
- Experience preparing, cleaning, and modeling data—creating dimensions, measures, calculated fields, parameters, and sets.
- Knowledge of ETL concepts, data blending, and integration of structured/unstructured data.
- Experience publishing workbooks, managing data sources, permissions, refresh schedules, and supporting Tableau Server environments.
- Expertise in Tableau Server administration, governance, and environment optimization.
- Ability to improve dashboard load times, optimize calculations, tune extracts, and ensure high-performing visualizations.
- Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing dashboards for large datasets.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights through effective visualization.
- Skills in troubleshooting data discrepancies, logic issues, and visualization errors.
- Lead Tableau Developers should be able to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and guide team members on best practices.
- Experience managing BI development efforts, providing architecture direction, and aligning dashboard solutions with business KPIs.
Preferred Skills
- BI Certifications: Minimum one Relevant BI certification, such as Qlik Sense or Tableau or Power BI/Fabric Analyst or ThoughtSpot.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
