Job summary

Systems/Software Engineer This role has been designed as Onsite with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

What youll do:

• Champion customer-focused testing practices, ensuring the customer s perspective influences product quality and decision-making.
• Design, implement, and execute robust test strategies for HPE storage offerings and integrated solutions.
• Rapidly gain expertise in external applications and validate integration feasibility with HPE storage products.
• Collaborate with Customer Engineering, Product Management and Development teams to understand features and come up with quick completion for
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and drive issues to closure by working across QA, product management, and support teams.
• Provide input to functional and design specifications contribute to design documentation.
• Influence product quality by identifying coverage gaps, raising defects, and shifting testing upstream.
• Document test strategies, workflows, and results provide clear recommendations to engineering and leadership.
• Execute and lead project teams of testers, driving collaboration with internal and outsourced partners to ensure delivery of cost-effective, high-quality validation solutions.
• Represent the testing team in all phases of larger, complex development projects and mentor less-experienced engineers.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 5-8 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

Knowledge and Skills

• Expertise in Storage protocols(FC, ISCSI, NFS, SMB and S3 )
• Hands-on experience with cloud, storage, and networking technologies, including Kubernetes and related ecosystems
• Proficiency in virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and enterprise backup solutions.
• Expertise in multiple software testing tools, frameworks, and languages.
• Advanced scripting skills (Python, Shell) for automation and efficiency.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems for multi-platform validation.
• Experience with industry-standard tools (JIRA, test management platforms, S3 IO writing tools).
• Experience with Analytics and AI Application simulation and workload generation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to defect detection and resolution.
• Experience testing software systems across multiple platform types.
• Proficiency in software testing methodologies, including test plan design, execution, debugging, and automation scripting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate test strategies, defect reports, and negotiate quality standards at management levels.
• Experience leveraging AI tools (eg, Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and testing workflows.
• Curiosity and adaptability to explore emerging technologies and apply them to enterprise-grade solutions.
