Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bengaluru seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Hybrid team, working on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. You will own end-to-end testing, build automation with Python/Perl, and drive test strategy for HPC storage systems.

You should have 4–6 years in software quality engineering, a CS/IS degree, and hands-on Linux experience, plus familiarity with pytest, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 4-6 years experience in software quality engineering.
• Min. 4 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of quality assurance in storage systems.
• Experience in working with Linux operating system.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as pytest.

What youll do

What you need to bring

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 4-6 years experience in software quality engineering

Knowledge and Skills

• Min. 4 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of quality assurance in storage System
• Good knowledge of filesystem. Parallel filesystems like Lustre, GPFS knowledge is a plus
• Hands on experience of testing and qualification in HPC storage systems is preferable
• Experience in working with linux operating system
• Demonstrated expertise on at-least one automation framework such as pytest
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, dockers/containers
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of data movement/management technology
• Hands on experience in working with tiered storage solution
• Good understanding of RAID and data storage
• Having knowledge of working with a CI/CD pipeline will be an added advantage
