Valeo in Chennai seeks a Systems Validation professional to oversee project budget execution and drive QCD targets for the discipline. The role collaborates with the Discipline Engineering Manager and R&D leads to align design work with the project plan.

Responsibilities

• Execute the System Validation budget within the assigned project and align with budget guidelines.
• Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the System Validation discipline.
• Ensure System Validation Technical Review execution and corrective action planning.
• Drive design solutions and reuse within the assigned project.
• Identify discipline issues and drive rapid resolution and continuous improvement (QRQC).
• Support System Validation Competency Development of the System Validation design team.
• Execute the Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.
• Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager, Discipline Team Leader and R&D Technical Project Leader on budget, design execution, quality control and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor Discipline Designers in the project environment.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following

Budget

• Responsible for Project System Validation Budget execution: Execute the System Validation budget within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and System Validation Discipline budget guidelines provided by the System Validation Engineering Manager of the entity.

Support Operations

• Responsible for Project Discipline QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the System Validation discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, System Validation project dashboard and KPIs defined by the Group/Division and followed by the System Validation Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader.
• Responsible for System Validation Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project.
• Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project.

Competencies

• Support System Validation Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify discipline issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution
• Responsible for Project System Validation QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues with the support of the entity System Validation engineering manager and the relevant System Validation Experts.
• Support System Validation Competency Development of the System Validation design team within the project.

Efficiency

• Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.

Collaboration And Influence

• Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader: Maintain regular communication and alignment with the Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of the System Validation design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
• Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Discipline Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
