Job summary

Valeo is seeking a System Budget and QCD Specialist to oversee budget execution and drive quality, cost, and delivery performance for the System discipline within a defined project. You will coordinate with discipline leadership and R&D to ensure design integration and continuous improvement through QRQC-driven issue resolution.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering managers, driving design reuse, and mentoring discipline designers to achieve project goals effectively.

Qualifications

• Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the project.
• Collaborate with the Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution and quality control.
• Coordinate with the R&D Technical Project Leader to integrate System design with the overall plan.
• Lead and mentor Discipline Designers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Execute the System budget within the assigned project.
• Lead QCD performance for the System discipline and ensure KPI alignment.
• Perform System Technical Reviews and implement corrective action plans.
• Drive design solutions and reuse within the project scope.
• Identify discipline issues and push for rapid resolution (QRQC).
• Manage correction of major technical issues with support from Engineering Manager and System Experts.
• Support competency development of the System design team.
• Execute the Discipline Efficiency Plan in the project.
• Collaborate with the Discipline Engineering Manager on budget, design, quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of System design.
• Lead and mentor Discipline Designers in the project.

Job description

The incumbent will be responsible for the following

Budget

• Responsible for Project System Budget execution: Execute the System budget within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and System Discipline budget guidelines provided by the System Engineering Manager of the entity.

Support Operations

• Responsible for Project Discipline QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the System discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, System project dashboard and KPIs defined by the Group/Division and followed by the System Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader.
• Responsible for System Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project.
• Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project.

Competencies

• Support System Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify discipline issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution
• Responsible for Project System QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues with the support of the entity System engineering manager and the relevant System Experts.
• Support System Competency Development of the System design team within the project.

Efficiency

• Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.

Collaboration And Influence

• Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader: Maintain regular communication and alignment with the Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of the System design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
• Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Discipline Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
