Job summary

Valeo in Chennai seeks an engineering professional to perform and support design simulations, validation and compliance with discipline development plans. You will review internal and customer requirements and contribute to robust design in line with economical targets.

You will support technical architecture, standardization, and participate in design reviews with internal teams and suppliers, with regular task progress reporting and risk escalation.

• Perform or support engineering discipline design simulations, coding and validation.
• Perform or support design calculations including worst-case and thermal studies.
• Perform or support tests for engineering disciplines.
• Report progress and escalate risks.

Job description

Accountable For

• Perform activities in compliance with Engineering discipline Development Plan of his/her PG/PL
• Review Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications
• In charge of the robust design / validation in line with the economical targets
• Support technical architecture and standards assignments
• Follow Standardization rules
• Support design reviews, internal and with suppliers

Scope

His/her scope could include: all or part of the design, integration, validation of blocks / product

Complying With Engineering Disciplines Processes And Design Rules

• Perform or support Engineering discipline design simulations/coding/validation
• Perform or support Engineering discipline design calculations including worst case/statistical and support thermal studies
• Perform or support Engineering disciplines tests

Management follow-up

• Reports the progress of his tasks
• Escalate risks
