Job summary

Avaloq AG is seeking a Senior Kubernetes & Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate our cloud-native platform. You will work with platform, security, and application teams to build resilient infrastructure in a mission-critical financial services environment.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes platform design, lifecycle management, IaC with Terraform, and robust CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response to ensure platform reliability and security.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Kubernetes, Linux, Cloud Infrastructure, and Terraform, with a passion for automation, scalability, security, and reliability. You will work closely with platform, security, and application teams to build and maintain resilient infrastructure in a mission-critical financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes platforms across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle activities including provisioning, upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Implement best practices for Kubernetes networking, security, storage, and high availability.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules and automated provisioning frameworks.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, focusing on performance, security, patching, and system reliability.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment automation and operational efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience.
