Avaloq AG is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (System Manager) to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role owns network reliability, performance, and security for mission-critical banking platforms, while driving automation and standardization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
• Proficiency with on-prem and cloud networking and security.
• Experience with automation-first approaches and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage enterprise network infrastructure across data center and cloud environments.
• Design and implement scalable, secure network architectures across on-prem and cloud.
• Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, Internet, and cloud networking services.
• Configure and operate routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security through active monitoring and optimization.
• Lead RCA and complex network incident troubleshooting.
• Drive capacity planning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Implement network security controls, segmentation, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cloud, infra, and app teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Lead automation efforts using scripting and IaC tools.

The role owns network reliability, performance, and security for mission-critical banking platforms, while driving automation and standardization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage enterprise network infrastructure across data center and cloud environments (Dev, Test, Prod)
• Design and implement scalable and secure network architectures across on-prem and cloud (AWS / OCI)
• Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, Internet, and cloud networking services
• Configure and operate network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and optimization
• Lead troubleshooting of complex network incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
• Drive capacity planning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• Implement network security controls, segmentation, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams for end-to-end delivery
• Maintain network documentation, standards, and operational procedures
• Drive automation-first approach using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform)
