Job summary

Neev Systems is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead design and development of production infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and observability platforms. You will work across Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystems to implement scalable, secure automation and mentor junior engineers.

You will have extensive hands-on experience in AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps, collaborating with engineering and SRE teams to achieve reliable, cost-efficient operations and SLO-driven performance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of solid DevOps and release orchestration experience deploying highly available, scalable cloud services.
• 10+ years Linux experience (RHEL/CentOS) with RHCSA/RHCE credentials.
• 7+ years running Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• 5+ years automating infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Jenkins.
• 5+ years programming in Python, Go, Ruby, or Java for cloud operations.
• 3+ years hands-on with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Splunk.
• Expertise in Git and modern version control practices; strong troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to define and drive SLOs/SLIs with engineering and business partners.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

About The Role:

To support our platform’s scale and maturity, the Enterprise Software Cloud Engineering team is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to drive the design and development of our production infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and observability platforms. You will work closely with engineering and SRE teams to implement scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions across ourKubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem. This role combines architecture, hands-on engineering, and mentoring responsibilities.

In this role, you will:

• Lead design and architecture for scalable DevOps solutions across Kubernetes, CI/CD,and infrastructure automation
• Build and manage secure,resilient, and high-performance infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Ansible
• Own and enhance observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk) to support SLO-driven operations
• Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and security best practices across cloud infrastructure
• Lead AI enablement initiatives using tools like Claude for codegeneration, automation, and developer productivity
• Collaborate with engineering teamson incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem culture
• Influence system and application SLOs/SLIs in partnership with engineering stakeholders
• Implement GitOps and CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across cloud engineering and automation domains
• Support platformreliability through sustainable on-call practices and cross-team collaboration
• This role needs a 2 hour overlap with the US team in Pacific Hours. Candidates should be open to flexible work timings.

• 12+ years of solid DevOps and release orchestration experience deploying highlyavailable, rapidly scalable cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• 10+years of strong Linux knowledge(RHEL 6/7/8, RHCSA/RHCE, CentOS)
• 7+ years of experience running Kubernetes, Docker,or Linux in production environments
• 7+ years working with cloud-native tools: container security, servicemesh, static analysis,proxies, and networking
• 7+ years buildingand managing CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins) with frequent releases
• 5+ years of experience automating infrastructure with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Jenkins
• 5+ years of programming experience in cloud operations using Python, Go, Ruby, or Java
• 3+ years of Hands-onexperience implementing and tuning observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Splunk)
• Expertise in Git and version controlbest practices
• Strong troubleshooting skills for distributed systems, infrastructure, and pipelines
• Proven communication skills with the abilityto align technical work with stakeholder needs
• Experience defining and driving SLOs and SLIs in collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, product, and customer-facing teams
