Job summary

Yashashvi Rasayan in Dahej, Gujarat, is seeking an experienced DCS/PLC automation technician to develop, modify and maintain DCS configurations, control logic and sequences for reliable plant operation.

You will monitor system health, perform preventive maintenance, implement root cause analyses, generate reports and trends, and cooperate with Production, Instrumentation and Engineering to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Develop, modify and maintain DCS configuration, control logic, function blocks, PID loops, sequences, interlocks, permissives and control strategies.
• Prepare, modify, test and maintain batch sequences, control logics, permissives and interlocks per approved process requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of DCS hardware and ensure proper functioning of controllers, I/O modules, communication modules, servers and operator stations.
• Ensure availability and reliable operation of operator stations, engineering stations and remote stations, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of DCS and PLC systems, including health checks and diagnostics.
• Continuously monitor the health and performance of DCS systems and identify abnormalities and potential failures before they affect plant operations.
• Configure and maintain system reports, historical data, trends and trend assignments to support Production, Process Engineering and management requirements.
• Maintain history of DCS system failures, analyse recurring problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and implement effective corrective actions.
• Provide basic programming, troubleshooting and maintenance support for PLC systems and their interfaces with DCS.
• Identify opportunities to improve DCS/PLC system reliability, availability and performance through condition monitoring, preventive maintenance, system upgrades and corrective actions.
• Ensure effective control and optimum consumption of DCS/PLC hardware, system spares and other automation materials, while maintaining adequate availability of critical items.
• Maintain updated system documentation, configuration records, maintenance history and technical records; provide timely technical support to Production, Instrumentation, Engineering and other plant functions for DCS-related issues.

Job description

3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of DCS hardware and ensure proper functioning of controllers, I/O modules, communication modules, servers, operator stations and remote stations.

4. Ensure availability and reliable operation of all operator stations, engineering stations and remote stations, including troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.

5. Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of DCS and PLC systems, including system health checks, diagnostics and identification of potential failures.
