Job summary

Mypol in India is seeking a Control Engineer to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation, electrical and instrumentation systems. You will work on PLC, DCS, AC/DC drives, VFDs, and field instruments to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with hands-on PLC/SCADA/HMI proficiency and strong

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering.
• 1–3 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Hands-on automation system development and PLC programming.
• Good programming and troubleshooting knowledge of PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.

Responsibilities

• PLC & Automation Systems: Programming, troubleshooting and maintenance for Delta, Mitsubishi, Omron and HMI systems.
• DCS & Process Control: DCS operation, programming, troubleshooting and control logic modification.
• AC/DC Drives & VFD: Installation, commissioning, programming and troubleshooting.
• Instrumentation: Installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments.
• Electrical & Control Systems: Maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, MCCs, control panels and electrical drawings.
• Maintenance & Improvement: Attend breakdowns and preventive maintenance; drive improvements.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow electrical safety, LOTO procedures and statutory requirements.

Job Description Control Engineer

Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Designation: Control Engineer

Job Purpose

To ensure reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of industrial automation, electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLC, DCS, AC/DC drives, VFDs, control systems and associated field instruments, to achieve maximum equipment availability and minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. PLC & Automation Systems

• PLC programming, troubleshooting and maintenance – Delta, Mitsubishi, Omron and HMI systems.
• Hands-on experience in developing automation systems and PLC programming.
• Integration of PLCs with instruments, sensors, drives and control systems.
• Programming and troubleshooting of SCADA systems.

2. DCS & Process Control

• DCS operation, programming, troubleshooting and control logic modification.
• Monitoring of process parameters, alarms and interlocks.

3. AC/DC Drives & VFD

• Installation, commissioning, programming and troubleshooting of AC/DC Drives and VFDs.
• Drive integration with PLC/DCS systems.

4. Instrumentation

• Installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial instruments.
• Handling of pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments.

5. Electrical & Control Systems

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, MCCs, control panels, starters and electrical systems.
• Reading and interpretation of electrical and control drawings.

6. Maintenance & Improvement

• Attend breakdowns and execute preventive maintenance.
• Identify recurring faults and implement corrective actions.
• Support automation and equipment improvement projects.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Follow electrical safety, LOTO procedures and applicable statutory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Hands-on experience in automation system development and PLC programming.
• Good programming and troubleshooting knowledge of PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.
• Working knowledge of DCS, VFD, AC/DC Drives and industrial instrumentation.
