Job summary

Cyient is seeking a controls engineering specialist in Hyderabad to develop DCS/PLC control logics and associated HMI graphics.

You will translate functional requirements from design documents, create test cases, perform logic and graphics testing, and contribute to system and cabinet engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in DCS/PLC control logic development.
• Ability to develop HMI graphics based on P&IDs.
• Experience creating and executing test cases for logic and graphics.
• Familiarity with System Design Specifications and Requirements Traceability Matrix.
• Ability to capture functional requirements from design documents.
• Knowledge of cabinet and system engineering for control hardware.
• Experience creating macros and HMI screens from specifications.
• Ability to produce test procedures and test reports.
• Experience studying control narratives and diagrams (FBD, C&E).

Responsibilities

• Develop DCS/PLC control logics per SAMA sheets and narratives (FB DBD experience preferred).
• Develop graphics for DCS/PLC HMIs from P&IDs and specs.
• Prepare control test cases and perform logic and graphics testing.
• Review requirements and generate System Design Specifications and test reports.
• Capture functional requirements from design documents.
• System and cabinet engineering; install and maintain controllers and I/O modules.
• Create Macros, control logic sheets, and HMI screens as per requirements.
• Develop test procedures for logic and graphics testing.
• Perform engineering, testing for Macros, Logic, and HMIs.
• Produce test reports to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Study and modify control narratives, FBDs, and Cause & Effect diagrams.

Job description

• Developing Control Logics in DCS\\PLC systems based on SAMA sheets & control narratives (preferably those that may have experience programming in a Function Block Diagram environment).


• Developing Graphics in DCS\\PLC HMI systems based on P&IDs and graphic specifications.


• Preparation of Control test cases/Instructions and perform logic & graphics testing.


• Review of Functional requirements, generation of System Design Specification, preparing of Technical Reports & Generate Requirement Traceability Matrix.


• Capture functional requirements from the design documents.


• System Engineering & Cabinet Engineering


• In DCS hardware engineering, you'll design, install, and maintain the physical components like controllers and I/O modules. You'll troubleshoot hardware issues, configure networks, and ensure the system functions flawlessly to control industrial processes


• Created Macros, Control Logic sheets, and HMI screens based on functional requirements.


• Test procedures developed for logic and graphics testing.


• Performed engineering, CTE, & functional testing for Macros, Logic, & HMI screens.


• Test reports created to demonstrate compliance with functional requirements.


• Capable of studying and modifying Control Narratives, Functional Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams.
