Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Pune invites an experienced System Architect - Wireless Embedded to lead architecture for a cloud-native Unified Connectivity Platform, covering Enterprise Wi-Fi, NMS, and analytics.

You will drive AP software, firmware, and SDKs, define device lifecycle, OTA update mechanisms, and ensure secure, scalable interfaces between devices and the cloud. The ideal candidate has 12–18 years in IT with expertise in 802.11, Wi‑Fi stacks, embedded Linux, chipset SDKs, and device‑cloud

Qualifications

• 12–18 years in IT with strong wireless embedded systems experience.
• Expertise in AP software/firmware architecture and embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of AP–Controller communications, WLAN management, and device lifecycle workflows.
• Experience with Wi‑Fi chipsets and SDK ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP software/wireless embedded architecture discovery with stakeholders.
• Define AP–Controller–Cloud integration, onboarding, provisioning and policy synchronization.
• Design AP software stack across 802.11, drivers, embedded Linux/OpenWrt, and chipset/SDK ecosystems.
• Establish OTA firmware lifecycle, versioning, rollout, and rollback processes.
• Assess options across assets, OpenWiFi, or third-party components for reuse/extension.
