Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Chennai, India, seeks a seasoned System Architect - Wireless Embedded to lead the architecture design of a cloud-native Unified Connectivity Platform spanning Enterprise Wi-Fi, NMS, ACS, Analytics, and Service Assurance.

You will oversee AP software, firmware, chipset/SDK and AP–Controller architecture, driving MVP, target architecture, and roadmap while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 12-18 years IT experience with AP software or wireless embedded systems.
• Deep knowledge of AP software/firmware architecture, embedded Linux and device lifecycle.
• Experience with 802.11 technologies and Wi-Fi driver development.

Responsibilities

• Direct AP software/wireless embedded architecture discovery with stakeholders to set target architecture.
• Design AP–Controller–Cloud integration including onboarding, provisioning, configuration, and policy sync.
• Establish firmware lifecycle, OTA strategy, diagnostics, telemetry, and health monitoring.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Wi-Fi/WLC and Cloud/Platform Architects on roadmap and risk mitigation.
