Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Systems Architect to guide the evolution of a unified connectivity platform, aligning WLAN, NMS, ACS, analytics, and AI-driven operations across multi-site networks.

You will define target architectures, drive open‑standards based decisions, and collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, observable solutions.

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of overall software experience with emphasis on enterprise networking/WLAN.
• 2
• 15+ years in software architecture and development for large‑scale Wi‑Fi deployments.
• 3
• Strong knowledge of Wi‑Fi 5/6/6E/7 and 802.11 standards; familiarity with WPA2/WPA3 and 802.1X.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Wi‑Fi and Controller discovery sessions with stakeholders to confirm requirements spanning WLAN, security, AAA/NAC, RF, client experience, and service assurance.
• Define the AP–Controller–Cloud architecture hypothesis, covering WLC, AP software/firmware, RF intelligence, telemetry, and multi-site management.
• Assess OpenWiFi and existing capabilities to identify Build vs. Reuse vs. Extend opportunities and platform differentiation.
• Drive architecture decisions and technical recommendations across SaaS, multi‑tenancy, observability, analytics, integrations, risks, and dependencies.
• Support MVP prioritization, effort estimation, and phased roadmap development; contribute to architecture docs and exec recommendations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solutions, evaluating Build vs. Reuse vs. Extend approaches; collaborate across teams.
