Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior System Architect - Wireless Embedded in Hyderabad to lead architecture for a cloud-native Unified Connectivity Platform.

You will drive AP software, firmware, and chipset/SDK development, guiding end-to-end architecture and the MVP definition for next‑gen connected network operations. The role demands deep expertise in 802.11 stacks, embedded Linux, OTA management, and AP–Controller–Cloud interfaces, with a focus on scalable, secure device‑cloud solutions

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AP software/firmware architecture and embedded Linux.
• Proven ability to define target AP software, device architecture and lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of AP onboarding, provisioning, configuration management and OTA updates.
• Experience with WLAN management, device–controller interfaces and telemetry.
• Familiarity with OpenWiFi ecosystems and chipset SDK constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP software/ wireless embedded architecture discovery with stakeholders.
• Define AP–Controller–Cloud integration and device lifecycle workflows.
• Architect AP software stack including 802.11, drivers, Linux/OpenWrt, and SDK ecosystems.
• Set up diagnostics, telemetry, health monitoring, and security considerations.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Wi‑Fi/WLC and Cloud Architects on roadmap and delivery.
