Responsibilities

• Review surveys for quality, compliance, and best practices
• Accurately assess the time required to program and test a survey
• Accurately assess the length of a survey
• Program surveys in Decipher and internal platforms as needed
• Synthesize project team needs and propose programming solutions
• Test surveys to ensure programming instructions, logic, and flow are accurate
• Create/collaborate on programming templates and efficiencies across Trinity methodologies
• Create/collaborate on programming best practices and SOPs
• Propose solutions to reduce survey length and fatigue and increase engagement
• Set-up surveys in different languages for global projects
• Manage data transformations using SPSS (rotations, stacking, merging)
• Create/collaborate and train staff on internal testing protocols
• Contribute to internal quality assurance for skip-patterns and logic
• Create and follow data checking procedures to ensure data is error-free
• Coordinate with third-party on translations and sampling as needed
• Teach, train, and mentor staff on programming and technical skills

Position Summary

The Survey Programmer is responsible for programming and testing all aspects of online market research surveys in the life sciences space. This individual will work closely with our global client service teams to consult on survey design elements and ensure that projects are completed on time and budget.

Roles And Responsibilities

Responsibilities to include;

• Review surveys for quality, compliance, and best practices
• Accurately assess the time required to program and test a survey
• Accurately assess the length of a survey
• Program surveys in survey platform(s) (Decipher, Internal Platform(s) as needed)
• Synthesize project team needs and propose programming solutions
• Test surveys to ensure programming instructions, logic, and flow are accurate
• Create/Collaborate on programming templates and efficiencies across core Trinity methodologies
• Create/Collaborate on Programming Best Practices and SOPs on continuous basis
• Propose creative solutions to reduce survey length and fatigue and increase respondent engagement
• Set-up surveys in different languages for global projects
• Manage transformation of data sets using SPSS (rotation of respondent level data sets into patient level data files (data stacking), data merging etc.)
• Create, Collaborate, and train staff on internal protocol for online testing both internal and third party programmed surveys
• Contribute/Collaborate on an internal system of quality assurance to ensure accurate skip-patterns, rotations, and logic are in place
• Create and follow data checking procedures to ensure data is error free
• Coordinate with third party suppliers on translations, language overlays, and sampling as needed in relation to programming activities
• Teach, train, and mentor existing staff and new hires on programming and related technical skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
• Work Experience: 5+ years programming surveys on Decipher (preferred) or another market research survey tool (Confirmit, Qualtrics, etc.). Healthcare and life-sciences focus strongly preferred.
• Other Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, HTML/CSS, SQL, PYTHON, SPSS, Sawtooth, survey design, iframe navigation, commercial programming platform experience required (Decipher) and preferred (Qualtrics, Confirmit), experience with AI agents strongly preferred, such as Perplexity, MS Co-Pilot, Claude AI
