Job summary

Aditya Birla Group Dahej is seeking a Diploma-qualified Electrical Maintenance professional for Copper Manufacturing. You will supervise shift operations, monitor electrical systems, and lead maintenance of generators, transformers, HT/LT switchgear, and related equipment to ensure continuous power supply.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, strong safety discipline, and ability to coordinate across departments to maintain plant reliability and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical disciplines with relevant plant exposure.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• A. Supervise shift-wise operation and maintenance of generators, transformers, HT/LT switchgear, VFDs, motors, battery systems, and associated electrical equipment.
• B. Monitor electrical system parameters and ensure reliable power generation and distribution without interruption.
• C. Carry out regular shift inspections and identify abnormal conditions in electrical equipment.
• D. Attend electrical breakdowns, perform fault diagnosis, and restore equipment within minimum downtime.
• E. Ensure compliance with LOTOTO, PTW, electrical safety standards, and departmental SOPs.
• F. Coordinate switching operations in HT/LT systems and maintain proper isolation practices.
• G. Monitor operation and health of 220 kV switchyard equipment, protection systems, and transmission interfaces.
• H. Monitor Generator AVR, Excitation System, Synchronizing System, and protection relays for reliable operation.
• I. Ensure proper functioning of EMS, energy meters, fault recorder systems, and associated communication networks.
• J. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, instrumentation, and other departments for smooth plant operation.
• K. Maintain shift logbooks, equipment history records, breakdown reports, and abnormality tracking records.
• L. Participate in preventive maintenance, shutdown activities, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• M. Guide and supervise technicians, contract manpower, and trainees during shift operations and maintenance activities.
• N. Support implementation of Kaizen, reliability improvement projects, digitalization initiatives, and energy conservation activities.
