Job summary

Air India Limited in Delhi invites applications for a Stores Inspector to ensure integrity, compliance and efficiency of incoming parts and materials used for aircraft maintenance.

The role requires thorough inspections, issuing acceptance/quarantine tags, coordinating transfers to Stores, and maintaining airworthiness documentation. You will monitor shelf life, practice stock rotation, manage DG handling, and report any safety risks to the Quality Manager.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of stores inspection experience.
• Knowledge of MOE and regulatory standards.
• DG handling knowledge and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming parts, hardware, and consumables, adhering to MOE guidelines.
• Issue Stores Acceptance/Quarantine Tags for inspected items, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate transfer of approved parts to Stores and escalate quarantined items to the Quality Manager.
• Verify items originate from approved sources, are properly packaged, and have airworthiness documentation.
• Maintain storage conditions, monitor shelf life and storage environments for aeronautical goods.
• Implement stock rotation, prioritizing items by arrival date to prevent expiration.
• Monitor shelf life and remove expired products from inventory as needed.
• Maintain records and ensure traceability of release/shipping documents for all items.
• Demonstrate knowledge of handling Dangerous Goods (DG) and report safety risks.

• To conduct thorough inspections of all incoming items, including parts, hardware, and consumables, in accordance with regulatory standards and company procedures outlined in the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE).

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming parts, hardware, and consumables, adhering to the guidelines outlined in the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE).
• Issue Stores Acceptance/Quarantine Tags for inspected items, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.
• Coordinate the transfer of approved parts to Stores and promptly escalate any issues regarding quarantined items to the Quality Manager for resolution.
• Verify that all stored items originate from approved sources, are appropriately packaged, and accompanied by the necessary documentation to validate their airworthiness.
• Maintain optimal storage conditions in the store, including regular monitoring of shelf life and storage environments for aeronautical goods.
• Implement stock rotation practices, prioritizing the use of items based on their arrival dates to prevent expiration or deterioration.
• Monitor the shelf life of stored items and promptly remove any expired products from inventory.
• Maintain meticulous records and ensure traceability of release and shipping documents for all items received in the store.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of handling Dangerous Goods (DG)
• Understand the significance of Occurrence Reporting, identifying and reporting any incorrect data, existing or potential defects, and safety risks within the working environment.
