Job summary

Park Controls and Communications Private Limited is seeking an experienced Stores/Inventory Manager to oversee receipt, storage, and issue of materials, ensuring accuracy and traceability. You will drive inventory control, coordinate with quality and procurement, and mentor a team of storekeepers in a high-standard environment.

You will manage FIFO/FEFO, conduct cycle counts, and maintain compliance with AS9100.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of stores/warehouse management experience, preferably in aerospace/defense sectors.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory control processes.
  • Additional certification in inventory or warehouse management is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software and perform cycle counts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishments to meet production needs.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO where applicable and track slow/non-moving stock.
  • Coordinate receipt and inspection of materials against POs and document discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper labeling, storage conditions, and traceability for sensitive components.
  • Issue materials against store requests and ensure accurate picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Prepare inventory reports, reconciliation statements, and MIS for audits.
  • Supervise storekeepers, allocate workload, and train staff on inventory procedures and safety.

Job description

To manage the receipt, storage, preservation, inventory control, issue, and dispatch of materials, components, tools, and equipment while ensuring accuracy, traceability, compliance with quality standards, and maintain optimum inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment actions.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO implementation where applicable.
  • Track slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and cycle counts.
2. Material Receipt & Inspection Coordination
  • Ensure proper receipt of incoming materials against Purchase Orders.
  • Verify quantity, part number, date code, batch/lot number, and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with Quality/Incoming Inspection for material acceptance.
  • Segregate accepted, rejected, and quarantine materials.
  • Send rejected stores back to vendor in consultation with purchase or scrap the items after confirmation from vendor/purchase.
  • Inform receipt of stores to the project team.
3. Storage & Preservation
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for electronic components and sensitive items.
  • Monitor temperature, humidity, ESD controls, and shelf-life requirements records.
  • Maintain proper labeling and traceability.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage practices.
4. Material Issue & Dispatch
  • Issue materials against authorized store request vouchers/work orders.
  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Maintain dispatch documentation and records.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams.
5. Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain stores records as per company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Prepare inventory reports, reconciliation statements, and MIS.
6. Team Management
  • Supervise storekeepers.
  • Allocate work and monitor productivity.
  • Train staff on inventory procedures, ESD practices, and safety.
  • Maintain discipline and housekeeping in the stores area.
Skill & Experience
  • Education: B.E/B.Tech
  • Experience: 5–10 years of experience in stores/warehouse management
  • Prior experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
  • Additional certification in inventory or warehouse management is desirable
