Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop rolling demand forecasts monthly/weekly with Sales & Marketing.
• Plan demand for NPIs and product launches.
• Consider trade promotions, schemes, and seasonality in forecasts.
• Analyze historical sales trends and market inputs to improve forecast accuracy.
• Plan and optimize dispatch routes and freight costs.
• Coordinate with C&F agents, distributors, and transporters for timely dispatch.
• Manage finished goods inventory and FEFO/FIFO practices.
• Drive S&OP process and coordinate with production teams.
• Prepare MIS reports and dashboards; track forecast accuracy and OTIF.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Develop monthly/weekly rolling demand forecasts in coordination with Sales & Marketing teams
• Plan demand for New Product Introductions (NPIs)and product launches
• Factor in trade promotions, schemes, and seasonality into forecast models
• Analyze historical sales trends and market inputs to improve forecast accuracy

Dispatch & Distribution Planning

• Plan and optimize dispatch routes on a zone/state-wise basis, aligned with warehouse network and GST/state compliance structure
• Optimize freight and transportation costs while maintaining service levels
• Coordinate with C&F agents, distributors, and transporters for timely dispatch execution

Inventory & Perishability Management

• Manage finished goods inventory and maintain optimal safety stock levels
• Implement FEFO/FIFO practices to minimize expiry losses on perishable seafood/marine products
• Prioritize dispatch of near-expiry stock to reduce wastage

S&OP & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Drive the monthly Sales & Operations Planning(S&OP) process
• Liaise with production/manufacturing teams to align supply plans with demand forecasts
• Manage exceptions supply disruptions, production breakdowns, or sudden demand spikes

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure dispatch documentation complies with E-way bill and FSSAI norms
• Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for management review
• Track and report on forecast accuracy, OTIF, and inventory metrics

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Demand Planning, Dispatch Planning, or SCM roles
• Cross-functional stakeholder management (especially with Sales/Key Account teams)
• Negotiation skills (transporters, distributors, C&F agents)
• Strong command of Excel/ERP-based planning tools
• Problem-solving under pressure (exception/crisis handling)
• Willingness to travel to plants/warehouses as required
