Job summary

sugar.fit Bengaluru is seeking a senior Supply Chain & Operations leader to own end-to-end supply chain across distribution channels, vendors, platforms and D2C lenses.

The role requires building and executing strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery while managing inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships. You will lead cross-functional teams and mitigate risks to sustain continuous supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with strong SCM foundations.
• Experience optimising supply chain processes in FMCG or related industries.

Job description

This person would be responsible for entire supply chain & operations management from all distribution channels, vendors, platforms and D2C lenses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimise efficiency, minimise costs, and ensure timely delivery of Active Foods to customers.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning, procurement, and optimization to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimising carrying costs and stockouts.
• Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain.
• Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers while minimising transportation costs and lead times.
• Process Improvement: Continuously analyse supply chain processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and finance to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives and ensure seamless integration of processes.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring continuity of supply and minimising disruptions.
• Team Management: fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Purchase Order Fulfilment: 100% Adherence to entire stock fulfilment to vendors/platforms on appointment scheduled dates & ensuring zero/minimal out of stock/returns scenario.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industry, with a track record of success in optimising supply chain processes and driving operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
