Job summary

ABB in Vadodara, India, seeks an experienced Supplier Quality professional to lead supplier assessments, drive corrective actions, and manage KPI-driven improvements across on-site and off-site supplier activities.

You will oversee PPAP processes, product surveillance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant supplier performance in the Electrification division.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering (full-time).
• 5–8 years of experience in Supplier Quality and related audits.
• Experience in manufacturing process audits, new part development, supplier qualification and onboarding.
• Hands-on experience in incoming supplier process quality, including type testing, HV testing and functional testing.
• Product knowledge of relays and switchgear preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and ISO 9001:2015 auditing.

Responsibilities

• Drive approval process for supplier parts, PPAP and product surveillance at supplier sites.
• Address supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-conforming products, or project services promptly.
• Collaborate with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims when necessary.
• Ensure supplier development processes drive continuous improvement of the supplier base.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and report on performance improvements.
