Job summary

Richi Circuitronix in India seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to manage metal inserts, screws, and related parts while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/IATF 16949, PPAP/APQP processes. The role involves audits, inspections, and close collaboration with procurement, engineering, and production teams across India.

The ideal candidate understands technical drawings, tolerances, and inspection methods, with strong communication and travel readiness to visit supplier sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 38 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, gauges, and inspection methods.
• Experience in Molding industry / Tooling / Automotive industry.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, specifications and use basic inspection tools.
• Willingness to travel frequently within India.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers for metal inserts, screws, compression limiters, and similar bought-out parts.
• Manage Supplier KPI like rejection rate, on-time delivery follow-up, closure of corrective actions, audit completion.
• Coordinate PO follow-up with suppliers in alignment with planning and procurement requirements.
• Conduct incoming and in-process inspections at supplier sites and/or internal receiving points.
• Verify product conformity against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions for non-conforming material.
• Perform supplier audits, supplier visits, and process follow-ups to monitor capability and compliance.
• Support supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Maintain records of inspections, supplier performance, NCRs, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with procurement, engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Travel within India to supplier locations as needed for inspections, escalations, and development work.
• Supplier quality engineer responsibilities typically include supplier assessments, quality issue resolution, monitoring supplier performance, and coordinating with cross functional teams.
• Prepare audit and inspection reports.
