Welspun Corp Limited, within the L SAW 2 division in Gujarat, seeks a SUP-MM-Maint-SAWH-Pipes to maintain and troubleshoot SAWH pipe production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose failures, and ensure smooth operation of mechanical systems in a busy plant.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in maintenance, with a Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and exposure to SAP, QMS and EMS standards. Strong communication skills in local languages are beneficial.

• Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with relevant maintenance experience.
• 5–10 years of hands-on maintenance in pipes/manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with QMS, EMS and safety standards a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain plant machinery and preventive maintenance per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, locate root causes and repair promptly.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure spare readiness for shutdowns.
• Follow SAP QMS EMS/OHSAS protocols in daily tasks.
• Train fitters and coordinate with planning for shutdown activities.

Job Purpose/ Summary

To maintain plant machineries in healthy condition as well as take the corrective action during breakdowns along with team members for smooth running of plant.

Job Description

As a SUP-MM-Maint-SAWH-Pipes in the Maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. You will be expected to troubleshoot malfunctions, locate sources of problems, and remove defective parts. You will also be responsible for applying your knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and manufacturing processes to ensure the continuous operation of our facility.

Responsibility

• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to OHSAS and EMS standards ensuring proper housekeeping of mechanical systems and spares
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence and participating in safety meetings to address observations
• Maximize machine uptime by promptly attending to breakdowns analyzing issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent repetitive failures
• Track equipment performance using metrics such as MTBF and MTTR ensuring documentation is maintained as per SOPs
• Monitor mechanical and hydraulic parameters during shift operations ensuring optimal performance and readiness of mechanical spares for maintenance jobs
• Update the spare master list for respective machines in collaboration with preventive and planning engineers
• Implement shutdown jobs according to the shutdown plan supporting planning engineers in documenting activities as per SOPs
• Manage internal projects and ensure timely completion arranging necessary mechanical spares for shutdown jobs
• Provide onthejob training to fitters managing their daily activities and ensuring effective system implementation and improvement
• Follow SAP systems QMS OHSAS and EMS protocols and manage wage systems for fitters ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures
