Job Purpose/ Summary

The SUP-QC-Coating Division is responsible for ensuring that all pipe coating processes and finished products meet the required quality standards, project specifications, and international coating standards. The role focuses on monitoring coating activities, performing inspections and tests, and ensuring compliance with client requirements and applicable standards throughout the production process.

Job Description

The SUP-QC-Coating in the Visual & Dimensional Inspection department is pivotal in maintaining the highest quality standards for pipe coatings. This role demands a thorough understanding of metrology, quality management systems, and both destructive and non-destructive testing methods. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing the entire coating process, ensuring that all products adhere to project specifications and international standards. This includes conducting detailed inspections and tests to identify any potential quality issues. The role requires a proactive approach to compliance with client requirements and industry standards, particularly API and ISO for pipe manufacturing. The engineer will also lead initiatives to enhance quality health, safety, and environmental practices within the team. A strong emphasis is placed on fostering a culture of excellence, encouraging interdependencies, and demonstrating organizational commitment. The ideal candidate will possess a global mindset, business acumen, and the ability to drive process improvements through analytical thinking.

Responsibility

• Oversee all aspects of quality control in the coating process ensuring that all products meet the required standards and specifications
• Implement and maintain quality management systems and product certification processes to uphold product integrity
• Conduct both destructive and nondestructive testing to ensure the quality of the products identifying any potential issues
• Carry out inspections to ensure the quality of the products maintaining compliance with industry standards
• Ensure compliance with API and ISO standards for pipe manufacturing aligning with industry best practices
• Lead with vision focusing on customer needs and managing resources effectively to achieve organizational goals
• Encourage interdependencies within the team and promote a culture of quality health safety and environmental orientation
