Job summary

SOIGNE ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS in Chandigarh seeks a Senior Structural Engineer / Structural Designer with 5+ years of experience to lead structural analysis, design and detailing for RCC and steel buildings. You will coordinate with architects, MEP and other disciplines on large institutional and infrastructure projects. Requirements include B.Tech./B.E.

in Civil with M.Tech./M.E. in Structural Engineering, proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD and knowledge of IS codes.

Qualifications

• B.Tech. / B.E. in Civil Engineering with M.Tech. / M.E. in Structural Engineering / Structures.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in structural analysis and design.
• Structural Design should be the candidate’s core area of technical expertise.
• Preference for candidates with independently handling structural design assignments and delivering projects.

Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures.
• Structural modelling and analysis of buildings and other structures.
• Preparation and checking of structural design calculations and design reports.
• Design of foundations, columns, beams, slabs and other structural elements.
• Preparation and review of structural drawings and detailing.
• Development of structural design schemes and engineering solutions.
• Technical review and proof-checking of structural designs and drawings.
• Coordination with architectural, MEP and other disciplines.
• Technical coordination and proof-checking with client teams and other consultants.
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior design engineers.
• Reviewing project deliverables for technical accuracy, quality and compliance.
• Ensuring designs comply with applicable Indian Standards, codes and project requirements.

Senior Structural Engineer / Structural Designer

Qualification: B.Tech. / B.E. in Civil Engineering with M.Tech. / M.E. in Structural Engineering / Structures

Employment: Full-Time

We are looking for experienced, technically strong and motivated Senior Structural Engineers / Structural Designers to join our consultancy team.

The selected candidates will be responsible for structural analysis, design, detailing, technical review and coordination of buildings and civil engineering structures, with an opportunity to work on large-scale institutional, infrastructure and other projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures
• Structural modelling and analysis of buildings and other structures
• Preparation and checking of structural design calculations and design reports
• Design of foundations, columns, beams, slabs and other structural elements
• Preparation and review of structural drawings and detailing
• Development of structural design schemes and engineering solutions
• Technical review and proof-checking of structural designs and drawings
• Coordination of structural requirements with architectural, MEP and other disciplines
• Technical coordination and proof-checking with client teams and other consultants
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior design engineers
• Reviewing project deliverables for technical accuracy, quality and compliance
• Ensuring designs comply with applicable Indian Standards, codes and project requirements
• Short-duration project-based travel may be required for technical coordination, inspections and meetings

Qualification & Experience

• Core Qualification: B.Tech. / B.E. in Civil Engineering with M.Tech. / M.E. in Structural Engineering / Structures.
• Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant professional experience in structural analysis and design.
• Structural Design should be the candidate’s core area of technical expertise.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of independently handling structural design assignments and successfully delivering projects.
• Candidates from premier/reputed engineering institutions will be preferred.

Candidates should have strong knowledge and practical experience in:

• RCC and steel structural design
• Structural analysis and modelling
• Foundation design
• Seismic design and structural dynamics
• Structural detailing and constructability
• Interpretation and application of relevant IS Codes and Standards

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY

• Strong proficiency in STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition / Advanced Edition is highly preferred.
