Job summary

Ted Jacob Engineering Group Inc in Mumbai is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our design team. You will perform structural analysis and design for building and infrastructure projects, delivering accurate calculations and clear technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous.
• 6-9 years of relevant experience in structural design and consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of RCC and steel design; IS codes and international codes knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of RCC, steel, and other structural systems.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Develop and review structural framing schemes and structural details.
• Carry out analysis using relevant structural engineering software.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Review structural drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Assist in preparing design concepts, calculations, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Review contractor/shop drawings and respond to technical queries and RFIs.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical input as required.
• Identify and resolve structural design and coordination issues.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed within agreed project timelines and quality standards.
• Support senior engineers and project managers in delivering projects successfully.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our engineering team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, and preparation of engineering deliverables for a range of building and infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with architects, MEP engineers, and other project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering will be an advantage.
• 6-9 years of relevant experience in structural design and consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of RCC and steel design.
• Good understanding of structural analysis principles and design methodologies.
• Familiarity with relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes) and international codes where applicable.
• Experience with structural analysis/design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit Structure/BIM experience is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on residential, commercial, hospitality, high-rise, or mixed-use projects.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of BIM and coordinated design workflows.
• Experience in reviewing drawings and technical submissions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
