Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Structural) to lead analysis, design, and detailing for steel, concrete, and composite structures on Datacenter projects. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with international codes and client specs.

The role emphasizes leading design activities, reviewing drawings, and performing design checks while ensuring safety, constructability, and cost-effectiveness across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in EPC and Datacenter projects.
• Understanding of IS, AISC, Eurocode, BS and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, and composite structures.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
• Develop and review structural drawings, erection drawings, and connection details.
• Ensure designs comply with IS, AISC, Eurocode, BS and client specifications.
• Conduct design checks, peer reviews, and technical audits.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, and project engineering teams.
• Review vendor documents and provide technical inputs.
• Resolve site engineering issues and provide construction support.
• Optimize structural designs for safety, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead small to medium-sized design projects and monitor schedule adherence.

The Senior Design Engineer (Structural) is responsible for the analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, and composite structures for Datacenter projects. The role involves leading design activities, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, and composite structures.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
• Develop and review structural drawings, erection drawings, and connection details.
• Ensure designscomply withapplicable codes and standards such as IS, AISC, Eurocode, BS, and client specifications.
• Conduct design checks, peer reviews, and technical audits.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, and project engineering teams.
• Review vendor documents and provide technical inputs.

• Optimizestructural designs for safety, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Skills

• ProficiencyinSTAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar structural analysis software.
• Knowledge of Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM workflows.
• Experience in foundation design, steel structures, equipment supporting structures, and buildings.
• Familiarity with wind, seismic, dynamic, and fatigue analysis.
• Ability to review and interpret geotechnical reports and project specifications.
• Working knowledge of international design codes and standards.
