Job summary

AECOM seeks a structural engineer to perform design and analysis for buildings and infrastructure, handling portions of assignments and developing calculations. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated designs and participate in design reviews.

You will mentor junior engineers, review drawings and reports, and contribute to client meetings while complying with budgets, schedules, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering.
• Experience on international projects.
• Knowledge of BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks).
• PE or equivalent certification desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Prepares and develops structural analysis and design calculations for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Gathers, reviews, and correlates engineering data using established and well-defined procedures and methodologies.
• Executes detailed and routine structural engineering assignments involving calculations, modeling, design checks, and technical evaluations.
• Develops structural design solutions in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Proposes approaches to solve engineering problems through modification and adaptation of standard procedures and previously developed methods.
• Identifies discrepancies, inconsistencies, or technical issues in design outputs and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
• Performs structural analysis using relevant engineering software and prepares design documentation, reports, and technical deliverables.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of structural designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to entry-level engineers and designers.
• Reviews engineering drawings, calculations, and project deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements with minimal supervision.
• Independently performs all tasks necessary to complete primary structural design elements for engineering projects.
• Participates in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions as required.
• Ensures compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience working on international projects and multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent professional certification is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on structural design assignments.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
