Job summary

Andritz is seeking a structural design engineer to design and review steel structures for power plant and industrial projects in accordance with Indian and international codes. You will handle concept to detailed design phases, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project specifications, while coordinating with the project lead and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in designing Power Plant and/or Industrial steel structures using Indian/International codes.
• Capable of handling steel design and review of structural drawings from conceptual to detailed design.
• Apply technical knowledge to meet Customer expectations.
• Should be responsible for the project along with the Detail Engineering Project Leader.

Responsibilities

• Design and review steel structures for power plant or industrial projects in compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare and review design calculations and design reports.
• Monitor project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Complete tasks as per project schedule with required quality.
• Utilize STAAD Pro, ROBOT, RAM Connection, IDEA Statica and AutoCAD for design work.
• Coordinate with Tekla Software usage and connection design.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and effective teamwork.

Role & responsibilities

• Proficiency in designing of Power Plant and / or Industrial steel Structures with Indian / International Codes using Staad Pro / ROBOT
• Capable for handling the Steel Design and review of structural design drawings, covering conceptual to detailed design phase, ensuring compliance with technical codes standards and Design specifications.
• Apply technical knowledge to meet all Customer expectations.
• Should be responsible for the project along with the Detail Engineering Project Leader.
• Extensive knowledge of Indian and/ or International codes AISC / EURO code. Any other international codes such as China / JIS codes are added Advantage.
• Good understanding of preparation of Design Reports and Technical standard specifications.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring its completed on time and within the budget.
• Complete the project Tasks as per Project Schedule with required quality.
• Proficient in Structural design software Such as STAAD Pro, ROBOT, RAM Connection, IDEA Statica and Autocad.
• Knowledge in usage of Tekla Software & connection design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
• Structural design work in Power plant and industrial project is Preferred
