Job Title: Technical Manager Structural & Faade Engineering

Department: Engineering & Design

Reports To: Head of Engineering / General Manager

Job Purpose

The Technical Manager – Structural & Faade Engineering will lead the technical analysis, design optimization, and FEA simulation processes for complex faade systems and structural components. Based in Coimbatore, this role is responsible for overseeing structural compliance, managing technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional project teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-performance engineering solutions adhering to Indian and international building standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Structural Analysis & FEA

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for faade designs to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.


• Utilize FEA software to simulate and analyze the behavior of faade components under diverse loading and environmental conditions.

2. Wind Load Analysis & Performance

• Perform comprehensive wind load analyses (including IS 875 Part 3 considerations) to assess the impact of wind forces on faade systems.


• Ensure all engineering designs meet or exceed client specifications and statutory performance standards.

3. Design Optimization & Value Engineering

• Collaborate closely with design teams to optimize faade structures based on FEA results, balancing structural safety, architectural aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.


• Identify and execute value engineering opportunities to enhance design efficiency without compromising structural integrity.

4. Material Selection & Testing

• Partner with material suppliers to evaluate and select suitable faade materials based on structural analysis findings.


• Plan and coordinate necessary material testing and validation procedures.

5. Technical Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and approve technical documentation, including structural calculations, FEA reports, and wind load analysis reports for internal review and client submissions.


• Ensure faade designs comply with local municipal regulations, National Building Code (NBC), and international building standards; prepare all required documentation for regulatory approvals.

6. Quality Assurance & Project Coordination

• Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure installations strictly adhere to industry standards and project specifications.


• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and design teams to align faade execution with structural and FEA parameters.

7. Technical Problem Resolution

• Troubleshoot, address, and resolve complex technical challenges arising during design, fabrication, or construction phases in a timely and effective manner.

Candidate Profile & Key Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering is mandatory.

Software Expertise

• STAAD.Pro (Connect Edition): Strong hands-on proficiency required.


• ANSYS: Hands-on experience is mandatory, with a proven track record of completing projects utilizing ANSYS for FEA analysis.


• M. CAD Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD or 3D modeling tools is optional but advantageous.

Standards & Industry Knowledge

• Thorough working knowledge of Indian Standards (IS Codes), National Building Code (NBC), and relevant international structural codes.


• Deep technical familiarity with structural behavior, wind load mechanics, and material stress analysis.
