Job summary

KP & J Engineers Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking a BIM/CAD engineer to produce 3D models and detailed drawings for structural projects. The role requires hands-on Revit/BIM delivery and collaboration with engineers and clients.

You will manage the BIM workflow, maintain CAD files, and prepare project deliverables for submissions. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 2–3 years' experience are required, with mandatory skills in AutoCAD and Revit; a yearly bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering mandatory.
• 2–3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models aligned with KPJ A&E standards and practices.
• Annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings per KPJ standards.
• Manage BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
• Maintain structural BIM/CAD files for use in design drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers/clients on BIM content, quality control, and delivery.

Job description

• Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and KP&J A&E standards and practices.
• Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings in conformance to KP&J standards and practices.
• Manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
• Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in the structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
• Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
• Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines.
• Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.
• Create 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project use.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
• Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software
• Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software
• Strong understanding of how a building comes together
• Ability to think in 3-D
• Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer
• Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills
