Lodha in Mumbai seeks a Structural Engineer to analyse designs with value engineering and deliver high-quality deliverables to the execution team on time and within cost.

Role emphasizes coordinating with architects and MEP teams, utilizing ETABS/STAADPro/Safe, and managing cost implications while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• BE Civil or ME (Structural Engineering) required.
• Knowledge of ETABS, STAAD.Pro and SAFE.
• Proficient in MS Excel for post-processing analyses.
• Experience in cost management and coordination with architects and MEP teams.

Responsibilities

• Check VFC drawings and designs for code compliance; identify redundancies in member design.
• Coordinate with disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Generate technical review comments for consultants.
• Organize work schedules and provide technical support to the manager.
• Check quantities against budget before issuing drawings to site.
• Develop design review processes/templates and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Organize design review documentation and communicate with consultants.
• Conduct technical discussions and promote teamwork.

Job description

Role Objective:

To analyse Structural designs with significant value engineering, and ensure that high-quality design deliverables are delivered to the execution team promptly, enabling the completion of projects as per the projected time and cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Check the VFC drawings and designs for code compliance and identified the redundancies in member design.
• Effectively coordinate with other disciplines in exploring the options to resolve the design issues.
• Generate technical review comments and clearly communicate to the consultants.
• Organize the work schedules and provide proactive technical support to the manager.
• Check the quantities against the budgeted indices before issuing the drawing to site.
• Contribute to the development of processes/ design review procedures/ templates.
• Ensure laid out policies, processes and guidelines are followed as per norms.
• Organize the project design review documentation/check prints/ review comments to consultants.

Conduct technical discussions, share knowledge and promote team work culture.

Preferred candidate profile

Skills: Cost Management, project teams, procurement, Project team, Architects and MEP team

Qualification: BE Civil/ ME (Structural Engineering)

Practice and Other Requirements

Knowledge of ETABS/ STAADPRO / SAFE, Structural competencies and skills in efficient utilisation of structural analysis/ design software.

Knowledge of MS-Excel for quick post-processing of computer analysis/design output
