Petrocon Engineers and Consultants (PEC) in Design Office is seeking a senior Design Engineer (Structural) to lead structural analysis and design for industrial and building projects, ensuring safety and code compliance across disciplines.

The role covers design calculations, drawings review, BIM coordination, and active involvement in tendering and construction support with strong focus on quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of structural design experience on industrial or building projects (EPC/consultancy preferred).
• Professional certification/registration is an advantage.
• Experience with IS/ACI/Eurocode or applicable local codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, industrial structures, foundations, and supporting steel/concrete structures.
• Prepare design calculations, structural drawings review, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEPF, and infra teams to resolve structural interfaces and loading requirements.
• Review structural BIM models and drafting outputs for design accuracy and coordination.
• Prepare BOQs and technical specifications for structural materials and construction methods.
• Support technical review during tendering and contractor bid evaluation for structural packages.
• Provide structural design support during construction, including RFI responses and site query resolution.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable structural codes and project specifications.

Reports To: Lead Structural Engineer / Design Manager

Location: Design Office (with periodic site visits as required)

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer (Structural) will carry out structural analysis and design for industrial and building projects, including foundations, steel/concrete structures, and supporting structures, ensuring designs are safe, code-compliant, and coordinated with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of Revit Structure/BIM coordination workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good coordination skills across multi-disciplinary design teams.
